Test your skills with this traditional northern German sport behind the Elbe dam.

This game is traditionally played in the fall and winter, but you can also show off your prowess in Wilstermarsch in the summer. Players meet in the parking lot on the B431, at the Stör river barrage in Wewelsfleth. There, an instructor will welcome you with a short introduction and provide the equipment.

Achtern Diek leads the group for the northern German national sport. The goal is to move the ball a certain distance in as few throws as possible. After all that exercise and fresh air, this fun sport is best followed by a meal and a cosy restaurant. In cold weather, tradition calls for a hearty, green cabbage-based delicacy.
