An 8m-high stake displays tide levels as well as storm surges, showing how high the water would rise if it weren’t for the dikes. A small pavilion invites visitors to linger a while. Enjoy the sweeping view of the “land below sea level”, maybe even over a picnic, or watch the artesian wells, in which the water flows from 25m deep into a wooden trough, propelled only by its own pressure.
