Wacken is a community near Steinburg, and is world famous for the largest metal festival in the world, Wacken Open Air, which it has held every year since 1990.

Wacken is also worth a visit any time of the year thanks to its many new offers: From the Wacken brewery to the hunting lodge, the café and the Zum Wackinger country inn, there’s a lot going on in Wacken. The Open Air is basically a year-round affair, since as soon as it’s over it’s time to prepare for the next one!
