In addition to an exhibition on the forest ecosystem, as well as the risks it faces, the Burg Forest Museum provides a fascinating look into other habitats and topics of nature and species conservation, hunting, geology, and the history of the landscape. Realistic representations of the flora and fauna in their natural habitat sets this exhibition apart. At the push of a button, you can also hear the animals’ voices. The content is structured around experiences, and explained through quiz games and practical tasks.

Visitors can gain deeper insight into what they saw and learned in the museum with a walk-through of the nature experience space. The gorgeous view over the treetops from the lookout platform is a particular highlight. Large parts of Dithmarsch, up to the Elbe estuary, are visible from here. The huge adventure playground gives children another opportunity to dive into nature
